Riverside Cliff

The crossing of the wooden bridge over the Marsyangdi signals the transition from trekking to something wilder. The Riverside Cliff rises 30 metres from the river bank — a textured wall of pocketed limestone streaked with calcite tufa. Three sectors (Left, Central, and River Face) offer completely different climbing characters. The Left Sector is slabby and technical, demanding precise footwork; the Central Sector is the main event with the most bolted routes; the River Face is steep, exposed, and reserved for those ready to commit to sustained 7b movement above the roar of the gorge. The river provides natural white noise and cooling breeze throughout the day.
